Presents GhostWalk at McKevett Elementary School Performance Details (Guided Tours every 15 minutes)
Dates/Times: October 10th - 26th, 2025 Friday (6:30 - 9:00 PM) , Saturday (6:30 - 9:00 PM) Sunday (6:30 - 8:30 PM) Tours take about 75 minutes. Tour size is limited to 30, book in advance to secure your spot! |
Admission:
$15/Adults, $10/Children under 12 First Weekend: October 10th - 12th $12 for adults, $10 for children |
Tours depart on time; if you are late we will do our best to get you on the next available tour (depending on space and time). Guests are encouraged to dress in layers, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a flashlight. Unfortunately, this year's tour is not wheelchair accessible
Parking: Free street parking is available around the school, plan to arrive early to find parking and check in for your tour.

Six Ghost Tales Bring Local History to Life This October
SANTA PAULA, CA – The Santa Paula Theater Center is thrilled to announce the return of its beloved annual production, GhostWalk, running for three weekends beginning October 10, 2025. This year's haunting theatrical experience will take place at McKevett Elementary School, where audiences will encounter six unforgettable ghosts sharing their chilling tales. GhostWalk offers a unique immersive theater experience, with professional guides leading small groups of up to 30 patrons through six different locations on the school grounds. Each stop features a different story, creating an intimate 75-minute journey through Santa Paula's supernatural past. This Year's Ghostly Cast of Characters "A Bone To Pick" by Mitch Stone features the spirit of Mrs. McKevett herself, who returns annually to haunt the school that bears her name—what is it that has her so annoyed? "Story Time" It’s time for story time at McKevett Elementary School. Come in close so you don’t miss a single word of these eerie ghost stories! "The Librarian's Last Chapter" by Steve Grumette brings audiences the ghost of librarian Margaret Caldwell, who met her untimely end while devoted to the job she cherished. "The Ice Cream Truck Incident" features a crossing guard's spirit, forever dedicated to protecting children after her own tragic encounter with an ice cream vendor's vehicle. "Professor Pembleton's Eternal Lesson Plan Poor Professor Pembleton is an eternally appointed substitute teacher at McKevett Elementary School. All he wants is to deliver his lesson plan. "Santa Paula Tinsel Town" by Christine Adams resurrects Edward David Renaldo, a local talent discovered during Santa Paula's 1930s film studio era, whose mysterious death raises questions of accident or revenge. |
