Production Manager
Leticia Mattson
|
As Santa Paula Theater Center’s Production Manager, Leticia helps transform creative ideas into breathing performances. Her love of live theater and her appreciation for teamwork drew her to the production side of the stage, where organization and creativity come together to make each show possible. Before moving to Santa Paula, Leticia has had many years of dance, and choral performance experience going as far back to her elementary school years on Chicago’s south side. However, her first show she worked on at SPTC was Stage Manager for The Miracle Worker, Directed by Jerry Castilloin 1996 and she never looked back.
In her role, Leticia coordinates rehearsals and schedules, manages Main Stage and Backstage operations, and supports directors, designers, and crew members throughout the production process. She makes sure everything runs smoothly, ensuring that each performance reflects the hard work and passion of everyone involved. Leticia has been known to direct, produce and sometimes perform on our stages. One thing Leticia likes about her work is the sense of connection it creates—between cast and crew, and between the theater and the community it serves. One of her favorite moments is standing quietly in the wings on opening night, feeling the shared excitement as the lights go up and weeks of preparation come to life. What she loves most about working at Santa Paula Theater Center is the community. The friendships, the shared excitement, it reminds her why theater matters. It brings people together, gives everyone a voice, and fills the space with creativity and heart. |
