Fred Helsel

Managing Director Fred Helsel has been overseeing the business operations of the Santa Paula Theater Center for over 30 years. As liaison to Artistic Director, Mr. Helsel assists/consults in season selection and artistic/production staffing and serves as liaison to SPTC’s Board of Directors in all business related matters. Helsel’s responsibilities include fiscal management, budgeting, reporting for Santa Paula Theater Center’s Operations Budget; Fundraising, Marketing & Public Relations; Grant writing; Calendaring of the season; and Negotiating all Artists and Production Contracts. An award-winning actor, director, producer, designer and theater manager, he also serves as the General Manager for the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
